Buenos Burritos

Miriam: So do you consider this authentic Argentine food?

Me: Seriously? This place is called California Burrito Company.

Miriam: Oh..

Back to Back Backpacks

I’ve made my return to Buenos Aires and it’s certainly bittersweet. I forgot how much I loved the city and also how much the city can drive me up the wall. I’m back living in the bar. Which isn’t ideal. But, I’m poor and don’t have very many options. At least this time I have a room. Alright… its a beer storage closet. But, it has a door.

Work In Progress

While spending some time at the beach this week, I´ve been working on a gangster rap.

Heres a look at what could be the next big summer jam:

Here at the beach, I got my bitch on a leash

The Sun and the Sand, Got me sayin´oh man!

Here at the beach, there are lots of honeys

Lucky for me, I make lots of moneys

Nude

Ahh yeah. I let it all hang out today and I never knew it would feel so right. As I set out this morning on my hike I had one goal. Conquer the irrational need of the bathing suit. I’ve got my birthday suit and that’s the only suit this guy needs.

I found an empty alcove on Lago Escondido and started to undress. First my shoes and socks and then my shirt. But when it came time to drop trough I panicked. What if someone walked up and saw my Charlie Browns? What if a boat drives by and everyon laughs at me frolicking naked in the Lake?

All legitimate fears. But I counted to three, pulled down my shorts and made a mad dash for the water. My first thought was ohhh cold. But after I relaxed it was incredible. Just me myself and I.

I walked out of the water with pride, found a nice flat rock, and tanned a few spots that haven’t gotten their fare share of sun…

Leaving the farm

I left the farm yesterday. I packed up my things and stuffed all the fruits and herbs I could into the remaining space in my backpack. Me and Aaron had a heartfelt goodbye. Luckily if I ever miss him, I can just turn on the Disney Channel. After a little over a month in a hippy high, I can´t deny they´ve rubbed off on me. I´ve found myself thinking about Mother Earth and solving world problems with love. I´m about 3 steps away from growing dreadlocks and becoming a crudivore. My time on the farm has definitely left an impact and I wont soon forget the people and landscapes of Patagonia.

Things aren´t to rough though, as you can see from the picture above. I´m in Bariloche, the capital of the Lake District and lakes I´ve been enjoying…

Cliff Jumping

Cliff jumping in Lago Puelo. 20 feet of free fall. We did a 3 way jump and all held hands. Ana, who is a short little Argentine, fell first and with our hands held pulled me down and made me do a side flop. My butt felt like it was on fire…
